It depends on your nationality — most EU residents and Ukrainians can enter easily, Belarusians need a pre-arranged visa.

• EU citizens (incl. Poles): visa-free up to 30 days — register via EASE online before flying
• Ukrainians: visa required — apply in advance online or through the embassy
• Belarusians: since 2026, visa on arrival no longer available — apply via embassy in Berlin; exception for those with EU residence permit
• All air arrivals must complete the EASE form online before departure

Both direct charters and connecting flights are available from Poland.

• Direct charter flights from Warsaw and Katowice to Sal and Boa Vista islands
• Scheduled flights with stopover in Lisbon or Madrid — approx. 8–10 hours total
• A package with charter is usually the most convenient and affordable option

One of the few destinations where there's no bad time to go — temperatures stay at +25–28°C all year.

• November–June — best for beaches and diving
• December–April — peak kitesurfing season
• July–October — harmattan winds from the Sahara, but sea stays warm
